This album needs a little context. On one cold February Saturday, I set out to write a synthwave album in 24 hours. I failed. But after a feverish long weekend, I emerged from my musty studio, pallid-skinned and bleary-eyed with a 26-track album; the soundtrack to a fictional 1980s skiing film called Hit the Slopes. I present it for the first time here in its entirety for posterity: a ghastly testament to what can be achieved - for better or for worse - in one weekend. It’s not the best but it was fun to make and I’d just got my Korg M1, so it’s slathered all over this thing. Finally, as a bonus, I’ve included the first synthwave track I ever produced: Ultra Warrior. Be excellent to each other - Synchro

everything you'd expect to find here is present and accounted for; polished production, retro vibes, impeccable attention to detail. this album feels like it leans a bit more into the disco-pop side of synthwave, with several tracks bringing the boogie in that inimitable Droid Bishop sound. there are still beautifully arranged introspective compositions as well, providing just the right amount a chill between dance tracks. and those guitar harmonies!! so sublime!
